our Company History

This company is a source of pride and identity to us and to the people who work here. We have been in business since 1944 and are in our Fourth generation of serving Southwestern Oregon. During this time our company has seen many changes in the products and services it provides. We have and will continue to undergo extensive advancements in our marketing and organizational concepts, which command the best abilities of all the people associated with our organization.

Company Philosophies

As expected, people are what make this a valuable organization. When dealing with anyone, whether they are customers, employees, vendors, and/or government agencies, we want to always remember that they are not entities. They are people, just like you and me.

Employees

Loyal employees are our most important assets. Our goal is to be considerate of their feelings and yet expect the same in return. Employment is a two‑way relationship. All employees working in the best interest of the company should feel satisfied in their employment. The company strives to give positive reinforcement for that satisfaction through recognition of a job well done and appropriate evaluations.

Customers

Customers are the focus of our operations. Maintaining good relationships with our customers is essential to our success. Our goal is to have 100% customer retention. It does not do any good to get new customers just to replace lost ones. We want our customers to get a good value while maintaining profitability. We never want a customer to feel taken advantage of. All business conducted with customers must be done ethically by the company and each and every employee.

vendors

Vendors should be obligated to give us a fair value for the price paid. We need to respect our vendors’ need to be profitable as this keeps them healthy and competitive. Prices should be secondary to the fulfillment of needs.

Government Agencies

It is all too often that we look upon our government agencies as something that makes us do something we don’t like. However, the rules of our society are that allow us the freedom and protection to be independent. The individuals working for those agencies are deserving of our respect and consideration regardless of the task given them to do.

Stockholders

It is the responsibility of the stockholders to ensure the success of the company. They are entitled a fair return on investment as compensation for the use of their funds and assets. They must also reinvest enough in the company to perpetuate the organization.
